Psalms 103:11-14

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth,
so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him.

 

Who can reach the heavens? Who can reach the limits of His “Great Mercy” towards us.

How easily our patience wares thin, how easily people turn against us. But God, His Mercy towards us exceeds our failings. Thank God today for His

“Great Mercy” toward you.

 

12 As far as the east is from the west,
so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

 

How can a statement that mentions our transgression be so, so, so sweet. If anyone else mentions another’s transgressions, it will always be accompanied with a sense of guilt, shame, regret, embarrassment, even when we are forgiven by another. But God wipes all these negative thoughts, feelings and emotions away by declaring a complete final and utter separation between our transgressions and us. You may continue to think upon your transgressions but God has separated them from you and no longer sees them when He looks at you.

13 Like as a father pities (shows compassion and love to) his children,
so the Lord pities (shows compassion and love to) them that fear Him.

14 For He knoweth our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.

God knows our weaknesses and frailties, He remembers that we are dust.

 

Hebrews 4:15-16

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
